Children and Young People

JUNIOR CHURCH

Our Junior Church is for children up to age 11 and meets during the Sung Eucharist on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sunday of the month. The children start off in the church with their family and are then taken out by the Junior Church leaders early on in the service.

In Junior Church a bible story is shared with activities based around its theme. The children then return during communion when they go up to the altar rail for a blessing and return to their families.

Junior Church meets during school term time. At half-term we do not meet on the first Sunday of half-term, but we do meet on the last Sunday of half term.

On the first Sunday of the month we have our Let's Celebrate service which is designed for all ages to be able to participate in with times of particular focus on children during the service.

The Junior Church leaders are DBS checked and receive safeguarding training.

Children under school age are welcome to join in Junior Church, but we ask that they are accompanied by an adult. Some toys and activities can be provided for very young children.
