Comment From...

Seed packets often suggest when the contents should be sown for fruit to be ready at harvest-time. I am hoping that now is the time to sow seeds for the 2013 Harvest Appeal (there is a link to information on this years harvest appeal in the bulletin). We are hoping to harvest resources to invest in training ministers of the Gospel in our West African partner dioceses. This too is about sowing – investing in people whose fruit will be to educate others and so grow the number of Christian disciples and ministers. I am hoping that by sowing the seeds of this appeal now, ideas will germinate to prompt an abundant harvest of generosity for our West African brothers and sisters. Harvest collections, projects and fund-raising will all help us to gather in what is needed to equip our fellow disciples for mission.
In the hope of abundant harvest-time generosity,

The Rt Revd Mark Sowerby
Bishop of Horsham
