Harvest Festival & Supper

Saturday 1 October, St Nicholas Church
The Harvest Festival Service will be on Sunday, 2nd October at St. Nicholas Church.
We would welcome gifts of seasonal produce/tins, etc as usual, to be distributed to older folk in Lavant.
Throughout September there will be containers in the churches for donations for the Harvest Appeal which this year is in aid of Mary's Meals. This is a charitable organisation which provides a meal a day for school children in deprived areas of the world where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. £9.40 a day feeds a hungry child at school for a year. The vision of the charity is that all those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic things, and that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education. The proceeds of the Harvest Supper on Saturday October 1st in St Nicholas will also go to the appeal.

Tickets, adults £6 and under 12s £4, are available from Cynthia Blades and Hilary Caffyn.
